I am in love with my Jesus. I mean really in love. I've known him all my life but didn't start following him and having a real relationship with him until the beginning of 2007 (in my last semester of grad school). I lifted my hand in church to start over, to live my life for him. I dove into a small group at my church, Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, AL, left my old ways (granted this took a couple more months), and never looked back. It's been an amazing journey ever since. God is so good and so faithful and I honestly don't know how I ever lived before I gave my life to him.
I love my story. The story God has written and is still writing of my life. I've been married for a few years now. I still can't believe it and I absolutely love marriage. I love the hard and the wonderful, the better and the worse. I love being a part of such a sacred bond and I love glorifying the Lord through our marriage. I also have a precious little boy who is 15 months at the time I'm writing this. Second to being a wife, I love being a mom. It's the hardest thing I've ever done but the return is so worth it. It's so neat to relate the love I have for our son to the love God has for us. I am so blessed. I realize it and I am so grateful and my only response is to continually figure out ways we can bless others in return and glorify Jesus in these blessings. Life is short and it's becoming more and more important to soak up each precious moment we have on this earth. I will admit though, I can't wait for the day I get to see Jesus face to face.
